Eduardo Moreiras was born In this house and lived his first years. Later, his family moved to Vigo when he was still a child.

He returned often to Quiroga to pass time in this house, to walk following mountains paths and along the banks of the Sil, Lor and Soldón rivers..

“Miña terra fermosa
Anda entre ríos deitada”

The writer perceives the spiritual beauty of the mountain landscape as pilgrimage to his personal cradle. He collected these impressions in poems and stories of Primaveira no Lor, Os nobres carreiros, Follas de vagar ou Fogo solto, which form an extraordinary song to Quiroga lands.

(Primaveira no Lor, 1974)
